I write, and sometimes still take photographs.
I’ve published four collections of poetry, A Net of Momentary Sapphire (Talonbooks, 2023), The Absence of Zero (Book*hug, 2021), Inspecting Nostalgia (Talonbooks, 2017), and Afterletters (Book*hug, 2014) as well as several chapbooks. My poems have also appeared in several online and print magazines. In addition, I’ve published several chapbooks, most recently with Knife | Fork | Book and above/ground press..
My photographs were shown as part of the CONTACT photography festival in Toronto in 2009 and 2011, at several shows at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto from 2008 to 2011, and can be found in numerous private collections. Nowadays my photographic work has mostly moved to Instagram, and consists largely of cat pictures and shots of piles of books.
I wrote a piece about my writing routine over at My (small press) Writing Day which could be thought of as a lengthy extension of this page. Of course that routine has changed a bit since then.
I live in Toronto, and can be reached at rkolewe@eridani.com
